Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a subset of behavioural psychology that uses the methods, theory, and technology of radical behaviourism to socially important behaviours.  The most prevalent application of ABA is to the treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  In the National Standards Project review of evidence-based practice in the treatment of autism, it was found that the majority of empirically supported treatments were behaviorally based (NSP, 2015).
