The Berlin Psychoanalytic Institute outcome study 1930 was one of the first major reports published reviewing outcome of a large number of psychoanalytic cases.
Edited by Sandor Rado, Otto Fenichel and Carl Muller-Braunschweig it reported on activity during the first 10 years of the institute.
During this period 1955 assessments were conducted and as a result 721 people entered into analysis.
Of these 721 analyses:
- 363 had completed their treatment during the study period
- 241 had terminated prematurely
- 117 were still in treatment
Of the 363 completed treatments:
- 47 were considered uncured
- 116 improved
- 111 were considered cured.
