Lisa Feldman Barrett, Ph.D., is professor in the department of Psychology at Boston College[1] in Boston, and an Assistant in Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Barrett is a social psychologist and researcher specializing in affective science and human emotion.[2][3] Her main research is on the structure of affect, having developed experience-sampling methods[4] and software to study emotional experience.
In 2006, Dr. Barrett received a Career Trajectory Award from the Society for Experimental Social Psychology for her work in emotion.[5] She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science,[6] the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
Dr. Barrett was born 1963 in Toronto, Canada.
