Mobility aids or commonly, walking aids are the tools that are designed to assist walking or enable mobility.
Walking aids differ from those providing some support for those who can walk independently but need aid in stability, to greater support for those who need help to walk, to those providing maximum support and designed to aid those people who are unable to walk even with help.
Walking aids include walking sticks and canes, crutches; various walking frames such as walkers or Zimmer frames, and wheeled (rolling) walkers or rollators; wheeled mobility devices such as wheelchairs and power chairs, and scooters.
Examples of walking aids of more generic use are walker trolleys used to help carry around food etc. or as a table next to chair, and shopping carts (shopping trolleys).
