Because of the importance of resilience in coping with the demands of life research has focused on evaluating the capacities of adolescents and the effectiveness of programmes designed to increase the resilience as a preparation for adult life.

Ingid Schoon,2006 reported on developmental aspects of resilience in light of the data from 30,000 people involved in the National Child Development Study of 1958
