The Society for the Teaching of Psychology is the main US body for teachers of psychology.

The Society grew out of the American Psychological Associations Division 2 (Teaching of Psychology).

The initial membership was under 50, peaked at about 2,600 in 1976, and now currently has just over 2,000 .

It publishes Teaching of Psychology and runs an additional Office of Teaching Resources in Psychology website (OTRP-Online)
