There are a number of issues around historiography of interest to psychologists.
As psychology itself becomes self reflective there is much to be thought about how we have developed our own history, how work has been promoted and orthodoxies constructed in the narratives developed. In working on this site I have for example been struck by the work of Harry Harlow and how the image of the terrycloth mother and clinging monkey in a sense overwrote the torture that the animals were put through. How differently we would construct his activities today.
Certain texts too become sacred and the historical context they were given at the timesets the tone for further hadiography. There are processes here could be of deep interest to psychologists and social psychologists in years to come.
As it stands this article needs rewriting to be more appropriate for a psycholoy audience Dr Joe Kiff - User:Lifeartist (talk) 18:53, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
